The Canadian Home Renovation Tax Credit

Home improvement is a smart investment! It’s even smarter now that the Canadian government has introduced the Home Renovation Tax Credit. Canadian homeowners can claim a 15 percent, non-refundable tax credit on eligible home improvement and home renovation projects which exceed $1,000 but are no more than $10,000. Taxpayers can claim the HRTC when filing their tax return.
