Wish I could give 0 stars. I moved into my current home and the bath fitter piece was already installed. The previous owners did it as an update right before we bought the place. The tub always squished and shifted under my feet, and soon after we moved in the caulking at the top began to pull and separate from the ceiling. I ended up recaulking pretty soon after I noticed this as I didn't want moisture getting in. Now, the lining has cracked on the bottom of the tub. I want to be very very clear- I grew up with an acrylic tub so I know you have to be careful with what chemicals you use to clean it. I've only used a diluted (1pt vin: 10 pts water) vinegar mix occasionally, but most often just use some warm water and a cloth. I haven't even used any of the daily shower sprays from my old home simply because it's not in the list and better safe than sorry. I posted about this issue once on a FB ad that popped up shortly after I noticed the crack and had checked the website for their warranty policy. Since the tub was installed in 2021, we aren't covered by the previous owners warranty despite not having misused the tub. ANYWAYS They won't stand behind the faulty product. They did send an installer out to see if cracked due to improper installation. Despite the installer telling me in person that there did appear to be more room/play at the bottom of the tub then should be there, the representative that called me after said it wasn't an installation error. This representative also didn't have a clue what part of the tub was cracked so who knows if the report was even read. She did, however continue to repeat that this issue is often caused by improper chemicals, despite me reminding her that I haven't used anything that's not listed on their safe product list. So aside from being all but called a liar, I was also told they would happily replace it at full cost. Why the heck would I want to buy another tub from them that cracks when washed by water? In the meantime, I now have the most worrisome mould growing from this crack of now a few months. To be clear again- the mould did not appear right away, but only within the last few weeks. To ice this crap cake, I have an allergy to mould and asthma to top it all off, so either I have to fork out money to have a real plumber come in and replace the poor quality product Bath Fitter will not stand behind, or I have to risk my own health every time I want to shower.... So Definitely a case of buyer beware.
